UP Scholarship 2026-27:- Students who have not yet applied for UP Scholarship for the year 2025-26, should apply as soon as possible. In this, scholarships are given to all students from class 9 to graduation for further studies. If you have not applied for this yet, you can apply directly from the link given below.
The UP Scholarship 2026-27 application dates have released for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric Intermediate and Dashmottar scholarships. Fresh applications for students in Classes 9 to 12 will remain open from August 11 to September 21, 2026. Fresh applications for Dashmottar (Except Class 11 and 12) Scholarship, will accepted from September 15 to October 31, 2026.

Eligibility for Up Scholarship
Before applying for the Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme, every student must understand the eligibility criteria for this scheme. Any discrepancies in the eligibility criteria can lead to problems completing the application. To apply for the UP Scholarship, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Eligibility criteria for UP scholarship:-
- Applicants for this scholarship must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- Applicant must enrolled in UG/PG or Diploma course from class 9 onwards
- Applicants must have passed the previous class/year
- Applicant must have a bank account linked to Aadhaar
- Applicant Income Limit: Up to ₹2.5 lakh for SC/ST and up to ₹2 lakh for General/OBC/Minority.
- Application is done through online portal only.

Step-by-Step Online Application Process
- Visit the official website at
scholarship.up.gov.in. - Click on the Student option in the top menu and select Registration.
- Select your appropriate category (SC/ST/General or OBC or Minority) and choose between Fresh or Renewal.
- Fill in your basic details, active mobile number, and generate a password to complete registration.
- Log in using your Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Password.
- Fill out the main application form including academic marks, income certificate details, and fee submission details.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, income certificate, and caste certificate.
- Submit the form temporarily, review all entries for accuracy, and then click on Final Submit.
- Print out the final application receipt after 3 days and submit the hard copy along with attached documents to your college counter.
How to Check UP Scholarship Status
Students who have submitted their forms can track their verification progress directly on the portal. Navigate to the Status tab on the homepage, select the 2026–27 session, and enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth. The screen will display whether your form has been verified by your college, the District Welfare Officer (DWO), and Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
